Poker Tip
#1
Before you select a table,
make sure you observe the play at that table so that you can
get a feel for the level of play. You've just got to have good
poker tips! Be fair and evaluate objectively your skill level
in relation to the other players at the table. If you don't see
a beatable game within 10-20 deals, choose another table or
game that you think could be more profitable.
A good game is a profitable
game and certainly worth waiting for.
Remember that good game
selection will account for about 80% to 95% of your profits,
while a bad game selection will account for most of your losing
sessions. You can see why it is well worth the investment in
time to locate the best game.
Poker Tip
#2
Always
carry a couple of cushions with you. Then before you join
a game, place your cushions to sit on. You'll not only be
really comfortable you'll have elevated yourself higher than
the other players and this gives you a psychological advantage
because most players are uncomfortable when they
sit lower level than you. You'll also be
able to see distant cards more clearly as your viewing
angles is so much better.
You should also
remove your
wallet from your back pocket and put it in a front pocket
before you sit down. It will save your butt and it will
also reduce lower back pain, particularly in long
games.
